What if your business values could pick your clients? When you let your business values guide you, choosing the right clients feels natural and easy.

What Business Values Really Are

Fran

Business values are your internal compass. Business values are the deep-seated beliefs and principles that act as your why, the invisible force that moves you toward what feels right and away from what feels wrong. Think of the values as the DNA of your business. They are the non-negotiables that give your work its meaning and heartbeat. When you're in value, everything feels smooth and congruent. When you're out of value, you might feel drained. By the end of this session, you will have three steps to eliciting your business values. Hello everyone, I'm Fran, your NLP and Business Coach, here to ignite your creativity. Imagine your business values as a vibrant lighthouse, standing tall on the horizon. As you listen to my voice, you will see its beam grow brighter, cutting through the fog and clearly illuminating the path to your values. As you focus on its light, you'll notice how it colours your perspective, making every new idea look more vivid and every goal feel within your reach. So get ready to take notes, turn ideas into action, and let's ignite our entrepreneurial potential together.

Step One Identify Peak Moments

Fran

Identify your peak moments is your first step. The outcome is to have a list of meaningful words and feelings. You'll know you've hit the mark when you can see a specific memory clearly and feel the positive physical spark that comes with it. So think of a time when you felt totally in the flow and full of joy. Picture that moment clearly and notice what was present. Was it freedom, connection, or perhaps growth? These are your first steps. So ask yourself what is the very first thing that you notice? Now this focuses your attention onto your primary representational systems, which is sometimes referred to as vagog, which is a funny thing, isn't it? But basically, it just means what you can see, what you can hear, what you can feel, and then there's also what you can smell and what you can taste in there as well. Ask yourself what are you saying to yourself in that moment? So this engages your auditory digital, so this is your um your self-talk and your internal logic, and you're searching for the meaning, and then ask yourself what word describes that experience? So this allows you to label the anchor, you turn the feeling into a concrete business value. You repeat these questions three to five times. I like the number three personally. So remember, three is a pattern for the unconscious mind, and each time you choose a different peak memory. So this is from a safe place of no judgment as well, you know what you're exploring. And as you repeat the process, you will start to see a pattern emerge, revealing the core values that act as your business compass. So write down the words and feelings that come to mind. Don't worry about getting it right, um, just yet, just collect your words.

Step Two Filter The Noise

Fran

Filter the noise is your second step. So the outcome is to have clarity and focus. By the end of this session, your list will be narrowed down to three to five core values that resonate deeply, leaving you feel lighter and more certain about what truly belongs in your business. So look at the list that you've got and brighten or highlight the words that feel essential to you. Let the things others tell you to care about fade into the background like shadows. Keep only the words that feel sparkly, you feel sparkly with potential. Then ask yourself: is this a must-have or a nice to have? Would my business still feel like me without this? And does this give me energy? Because what you're looking for is you know, we all have ideas, and I know that you're wonderful creatives, and you have lots of ideas, but would you be building a nice to have so that everyone says, Oh, that's lovely, but nobody's gonna buy from you, or nobody's gonna support you in any other way. Um would it still feel like you without this? Because obviously, this this probably uh leans more towards building a personal brand, but this um stuff is just to let you explore. You're exploring your mind, and you're you know going along with this course, um, and you take from it what resonates with you as well. And does it give you energy? Because the last thing you want to do is um build something that's gonna drain you, so you're looking for uh values that really fill you with purpose and positivity, and a business that's gonna thrive because you've got the energy to do it. Hope that makes sense. You can do it. To elevate your business, I've created a complimentary template bundle. You can download it via the link in the description. And also remember that with these reflection prompts or questions, you know, when it's ask yourself, you can mind map on these, journal them, brain dump on them. It's for you to take away and you take the bits that resonate with you. So this course is to inspire your creativity and just get your your thoughts going. If you need any other support at all, then you're welcome to contact me and I can sort that out for you.

Step Three Test For Congruence

Fran

Fran

for congruence is your third step. So you're looking for alignment. The outcome is to have total confidence. You'll know when you're successful when you can imagine talking to a potential client and your body feels grounded and aligned, giving you a clear green light to move forward. So take your top three values. So, from those uh previous questions and reflection prompts, you've got your list of words of what they feel to you, you know. Imagine uh what you can see here and feel. So you've got your your top three values, or possibly five, you know, three to five, and project them into a future conversation with a potential client. Notice how it feels to speak from that place. If the image feels strong and stable, you've found your roots. So ask yourself: can I say this value out loud with total confidence? Does this value make me feel a green light to move forward? Does this value clearly point the way to my ideal client? I'll give you an example of a value. One of my business values is empathy. That also is a value in my life as well, because there's different contexts of values. To do values elicitation as a coach, it's it's a slightly different process. So we've got all got different contexts of our life, so that could be business, it could be uh spiritual, you know, finances, and you look for what that means to you, and then what it means to you on a higher level, um, and you kind of keep going to see what you feel in alignment with, and it's similar to what you do in here.

Say Your Values Out Loud

Fran

Awesome work. You understand your business values and the importance of having them, you've written them down, you've practiced saying them, and now you can feel how they will guide every choice you make. Saying them out loud is a whole different thing, which is why I encourage you to say it out loud, maybe to yourself or to the mirror to start with, and then to somebody else, because it's all very well working on these things in our minds and our notebooks. If you say it out loud, and maybe your toes curl slightly, then there could be a bit more work to do, and there's no judgment for that, so just go back over it because you're looking for something that makes you feel in alignment with what you're offering, with what your business offers and what your ideal client or customer will resonate with. At Melancholy Coaching, we share clear beginner friendly content for business training and for self improvement. It's designed to inspire newcomers, refresh knowledge, and keep you motivated to grow. So, until next time, keep igniting your creative potential.
